Born in the small community of Montcalm--located just outside of Bluefield, WV--Megan started her musical voyage as a church soloist at 4 years of age. Her introduction to harmonies and strong Gospel melodies took root in the church pews of a small rural church grounded in the word of God. From there, Megan's love of all musical genres--particularly jazz, blues, country, and classic standards--meshed easily into her current Contemporary Christian songwriting style.
While attending Gardner-Webb University as a Vocal Performance Major, Megan's desire to write and perform music became tightly intertwined with her calling to minister to others about the saving grace of Jesus Christ. From this calling, Megan's first CD "Wooden Nickels" emerged. Now a member of BMI, Broadcast Music Inc, as a songwriter and lyricist, Megan's music has received radio play and has been featured on Local Flavors through WBFJ Radio.
Currently serving at First Baptist Church of Oak Island, her home church in North Carolina, Megan puts the "bloom where you were planted" approach into action. She participates in the church choir and many other areas of worship leading, alongside her husband Chris.
Megan's ministry goal is to fully give herself to God's will for her life and allow Him to use her as His vessel to reach the lost and suffering with His story of redemption and enduring love.
